If you made Aptera Kits, like small plane manufacturers do, then you could reduce production demands and possibly reduce the price and allow people to build on their own time and space. You could inspect it when it is done and certify it for road use or not. You would need a set of instructions but I bet there are many DYI people that would like the project and that would cut the delivery time for those who want one already built.
