@fanfare In one of the videos the fact that the cells can bend slightly in one direction is mentioned. This is why they are mounted on only the moderately curved sections of the body, facing toward the sky. Trying to mount them on the compound curves of the body sides would be an exercise in futility, I would think.
As they've been testing cells (and cell locations) using a body buck on Chris Anthony's roof for more than a year, I'm guessing they've pretty much maximized both the number of cells and their placement.
