We currently rent a Renault Zoe 2020 model. In 1 year we averaged 13 kwh per 100 km and the battery is still at full capacity. We mainly charge AC at home.
From time to time I do a fast charge on long distance trips. Last week i traveled to Germany 530 km round trip. Stopped for a personal break, car recharged at Fastned DC 50kwh while I was enjoying a Whopper menu.
That seems to be recipe for success for a long lasting battery pack. "slow" AC charging.
