I have a USB stick on which I've added all the music that I listen to. There is also a playlist. I was so disappointed after plugging it into my current cars USB, it will not use the playlist. That was years ago, and maybe the new cars are doing it now, but I doubt it.
1st make sure I can plug in my stick and have it play the music (have alphabetical as an option)
2nd allow me to select a play list to play.
3D remember which one I used last, preferably where in the list I was, then start over at the end
I like 4+20 years ago, but I am sick if it playing every time I start the car, followed by A good Hearted Woman
You don't need a $500 iPhone. You can do it with a $20 used phone with bluetooth. I don't care what you do, I'm just putting this out there to anyone who may be receptive to the solution.
Yep. That's why I put out this post. Its a feature I would like to have. And Not be required to have a phone to get it. $500+ phone vs $5.00-usb
I've had bad luck with playlist formats (.m3u) on a USB. Most cars won't read them. I suggest you experiment with other cars and you'll probably experience the same. The phone/VLC/bluetooth setup has been far more successful for me. Also, you can duplicate/swap SD cards on your phone just like USB sticks, or even easier, transfer files via the USB cable. Good luck.
Put your music and playlists on your phone. Install VLC media player on your phone. Bluetooth your phone to your car stereo.
