when tesla detects a threat it makes a warning sound and blinks lights.
a system that doesn't require car to computer to be on thus draining battery while parked: if certain part breaks, its recorded via movement of a broken part which pushes a conductor switch together which turns on battery, and electrical signal according to which conducting switch was triggered, would tell the computer which part of car is broken, alerting owner via phone app online. there is more uses for a aptera app like reporting problems with car not repariable by owner, recalls of parts, and replacing the computer screen that exists in aptera and tesla https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/5ff79bf582b26c001731915e
I think the most exposed part is the 2 front wheels im hoping cameras and sensors will warn u on your phone via app if some one is trying to mess with them
No door handle so nobody can even try LOL please do it!

In the tech Q&A Chris said that 2 people can lift up and Aptera to move it. Maybe put a chain ⛓️ through one of the rims? I am hoping for a sentry mode like system. So people are less likely to try to steal it.
1,800 lbs would take more than 2 people to move but I have seen 4 people pick up and move a smart car. I used to chain my classic car to a tree whenever leaving town.
I would think a basic security system to detect intrusion and subsequently disable the drivetrain should be included. All the sensors are already on the vehicle so its really a question of software.
I hope Aptera offers an enhanced security system to deter the common "smash and grabs" that the Tesla owners experienced.
@Riley I'm actually more concerned with the main screen, original renderings showed it as appearing more built in, now oriented like the model 3, and with the small side monitors for the mirrors, to me it seems that any smash and grab crook might easily mistake them for a tablet or a cell phone left in the vehicle, and go for them based on that. (Not many of them will be familiar with the vehicle, anyone have any input on if this has been a Tesla problem?)
a person dumb enough to think the built in displays are a phone or tablet are indeed dumb enough to do a smash and grab. the biggest security issue will be the unique looks of the car catching the eye of every criminal. Driving an aptera will be as attention getting as Driving a Bugatti.
@Riley I agree, but I'm still hoping that the final version will have all three monitors have more of a "flush" installation. To me the current placement gives the feeling of an afterthought.

Hopefully the wheel covers are strong enough for a full size adult to site on.

I would guess they will implement a Tesla style system with a credit card shaped “key” and the ability to use your phone to manage the vehicle.
The theft protection is its look. Nobody steals such a unique car.
