Pretty sure the fine print for that referral program says that the referred buyer has to take delivery on their vehicle before the $1000 discount becomes available to the referring patron. Since the referring patron’s reservation number is liable to come up well before any referred buyer, isn’t anyone going to be getting that discount; at least not on their first purchase.
To my mind the referral discount is one of the more disappointing disingenuous gimmicks applied to sell what should appeal amply enough on its engineering merits alone. Gimmicks like this and other hyperbole just make me more skeptical of the other more appealing claims.
As a point of personal perspective, I am firmly on the engineering side of the age old conflict between the “just the facts, ma’am” engineering paradigm and the “effective psychological manipulation“ of the sales professional.

Yes, it is set up be a sales program. To take advantage of it you first have to order one then encourage others to buy using your referral code to order and buy ,one, after you already have yours, then order another for yourself, and the sell one of them to actually realize the profit from your work.
The referral spam here and on youtube is pretty lame especially when the post/video offers nothing added in content. Just a blatant referral spam. Cmon Len! You are better than this!
It is a gimmick sure but if you can get at least one referral you would save 1,000$ thats huge incentive to push aptera to new people and that is great. I know what will cheer you up here is a link to 30$ off your reservation for an aptera!!!!!!
I will not fault Len for spam. For it was precisely with that in mind that the referral code was created. To build an army of hungry people who will persistently get the word out to an higher degree than a team of salespeople would do to at least gain exposure and get the word out. Good luck to you Len. I hope you sell a lot of cars so that yours can be free. You will have earned it. Keep at it and don;t be discouraged. It can take many times throwing spaghetti at the wall before something sticks. Sometimes you must toy around with creative and innovative messages and techniques. If you offer a message that is perceived by the reader as a value added you will often experience more success.
