Is anyone besides me a bit concerned about co-founder Michael Johnson's ties to the petroleum industry? I know he is also deeply involved with Flux Power that develops lithium-ion batteries. So maybe his petroleum involvements are a hedge?... or, vice-versa, maybe his involvement in battery tech is a hedge? Either way, it's a stain on his vitae in my eyes.

A lot of people in the energy industry work with both fossil and renewable energy. Texas leads the country in wind power and petroleum, for example.
Not sure what your concern would be? Are you worried he would want to make it a gas vehicle? Or, want to use his batteries? I am not concerned about either of these issues and cant think of any others.
I recently read that green activists are infiltrating the oil industry to help accelerate its inevitable demise.
