@Paul Weber I would buy the car in a heartbeat. But I see many warning signs of failure if not an outright scam. I can’t in good conscious ask anyone to put down money based on what I see here. Since my order number is 17,000+ I’m curious as to so few post in their forums. 17,000 is that many orders over several months so their inability to respond to a customer within two days is suspiciously inadequate.
@Jack Diamond The first reservation number was 10001. Your number, therefore, is in the 7Ks - as mine is in the 2Ks.
Aptera has been spending the past few weeks obtaining and moving into a new factory space, in which they will be constructing two additional prototype vehicles and planning for the start of future production. They have a VERY small staff, at present - Aptera is a start-up, not a full-scale industrial corporation. They respond to emails in as timely a manner as they can - and at all hours of the day and night! It might take a day or two but they always respond.
MOST people realize that their $100 (or $70) isn't reserving them a vehicle - it's actually only reserving them a place in line to EVENTUALLY purchase a vehicle. Plus it's refundable. So I'm not certain what "warning signs" you're seeing or what red flags are making you think the company is a scam - the Founders, engineers and designers have been very forthcoming with information in interview, speaking with candor and sincerity about their dreams, their history, their ongoing work and their future plans.
Do pl dumb if u could get a free car with only 26 pre orders why would anyone buy one outright for 26000 $ when your buddies funded by u could get a car for 2600$ they have to be completed sales of pre-ordered cars you don't get refersl bonus of free car till 26 completed sales not pre-orders If you get your car first I imagine u pay up front for your car then get reimbursed for your referrals as they complete their sales atdelivery
A stated offer that clearly says a free car for 26 referrals that doesn’t mention a purchase required. Period. They have not published anything to the contrary or any terms or conditions. Yes it seems they have opened themselves up to a number of bad players. So, do they care? If not why? Maybe they have no interest because they won’t be around. I can’t believe any lawyer would have let any company put out such an offer. Makes me think they didn’t use a lawyer. Looks pretty shaky to me at this point especially since they haven’t responded to any of my inquiries. thei off does say fully refundable but nowhere on their site does it give you any way to cancel or request a refund.
@Jack Diamond When we announced our referral program, we published the attached information that specifically mentions that referrals must take delivery of their vehicles in order to qualify for the $1,000 credit. I added another link on the main page of our referral panel window to ensure it's as clear as possible. Regarding refunds, you may cancel and receive a refund at any time. If you have any further questions or concerns, you are more than welcome to email me directly at sarah@aptera.us.
Why would I buy now when after I already bought a car I no longer can earn the discount? I could take my car around town to promote it and sign up people far more effectively but since I can no longer get $1000 back why would I? Doesn't this policy discourage me from buying until after I give up doing referrals?
I may be able to display the thing in some very good places but I'd already own it... so why bother for some branded clothing etc. I have no need for a 2nd one.
@Len the first thing should be to set up customer support, IT, and run everything past lawyers before asking people for money. That should have been a top priority. For people who claim to be successful business entrepreneurs with a top tier class of executives and years of experience? To me this looks like beginners.
@Len I asked to be directed to a copy of the Terms and Conditions for the program on 1/29/21, so far radio silence, I submitted a second different question at or after that time, they responded to it, I responded back with a clarification, they responded back again, in less than a week for the whole process. (At this time, I sincerely doubt that there is legally binding set of terms and conditions, which truly could open them up for legal squabbles in the future, or at least a lot of bad feelings from people using the program. I would love to be proven wrong on my belief that this is the case, I at least hope they are scrambling to create and put out a full set of information.)
The offer only states that 26 referrals entitles one to a free car, period. There is no language that I have found that mentions 26 purchases. I have sent an email to them but have not received a reply. I want to see published terms and conditions!
That is not in any way a clear answer before when, what? So, are you saying as long as I get 26 people to pre-order I will get a free car regardless of whether or no those pre-orders turn in sales? my free car will be delivered prior to those referrals actually purchasing ? Is that what you are saying? Where is all of the information on this ? I jumped into this quickly because the the concept appealed to me. But after mentioning it to a lawyer friend he asked these questions. What kind of business puts out an offer like this without terms and conditions? If they can’t reply to emails within 36 hours wha kind of business plan do they have. Responding to buyers is the only thing have to do at this time and they aren’t doing it well. If I don’t get answers soon I’ll direct my questions to the consumer protection agency and state attorney general. Yes it’s only one hundred dollars but I’ve doubled my investments in crypt currency every year. Meaning in two or three years that’s $400 to $800.
Greed has killed many a business are you greedy or reasonable

I can only share what I heard / understood and seems fair to me ?
info@aptera.us may be your best platform?
The 26 referrals have to have paid for their choice before you can be rewarded with a rewarded based model Aptera
Great deal if you can wait!
Since my ordered one will happen before that ... I can always donate or sell the reward vehicle
They must put in a pre-order. Once you have yours for free (which you will get before them) then...
