What country is that? OK, since the original Aptera was founded in 2005, and using the “sober” logic here, George Bush was President when the Aptera was conceived... Just keep the political BS out of this! Maybe the moderator should just cancel this entire stupid thread!
Again, why alienate half your prospective customers by injecting political biases? People have may reasons to buy an Aptera. Not everyone believes in “climate change“. Many just love efficiency and want a cool looking, low maintenance, low operating cost car.

My intention was not to be political, only to associate the Aptera with a new president interested in protecting the environment.
As a comparison a pole was taken in 2011 of Volt owners it had about 700 responses 30% were Democrats, 26% Republicans, the rest were independent or did not care.
Of course at that time there was not the political divide that we have now, especially over environmental issues.
Why alienate half of the nation by throwing politics into this?

Actually it was Republicans that called the Volt the Obama car meaning it to be a derogatory term and like when the British called Americans Yankees, it was embraced to be a positive.
So if some see it as an anti fossil fuel term, that's because it is.
@Tim Dean: Not sure @David Marlow was intending to bring politics into this forum. However, you seem to be upset with anything that ties Biden to success. Not our issue.
And even if David was intending to be political, I offer what a friend of mine always says... "Politics permeates everything". David and your response seems to be just proving this relevant point.
