Maybe I'm just a pipe dreaming, but with SoCal property prices being what they are I think they should probably open a plant in the middle of British Columbia. ;)
All the Principals live in or around San Diego & don't want to move out of Paradise & I don't blame them for their decision to establish their "factory" in San Diego.
