I just finished watching
an introduction of the new McLaren F1 T.50. If you are a car nut, you may enjoy this technological wonder. A 3 million dollar supercar. In any case, us Aptera fans can play a new game - find the similarities between an Aptera and a T.50.
I saw 1) butterfly doors, 2) same split side windows that some have complained about (ha ha), 3) camera rear view with a little screen on each side of the dashboard, 4) importance of light weight design and the synergisms that result, 5) interesting discussion of aerodynamic work and simulation just like we hear from the Aptera design team, 6) orange seat in a dark gray interior like a Noir (ha ha)...
I think a better comparison in this price range is the Aspark Owl which is fully electric like the Aptera. I find it hard to compare a gasoline V-12 engine car to the power and torque of an EV. The Owl has a 0-60 time of 1.72 seconds from the 2,012 horsepower motors (four of them). That is quite a feat for a heavy car, around 2 tons. This is from the batteries which enable a 285 mile range. But at 3.5 million dollars, there are a few other options of cars available. Most of all I think the Aspark looks better.
