I installed a level 2 EV charge station in my garage for my existing Volt - a 30 amp system. All of the material I'm finding here talks about 110v charging, and I'm wondering if the car will support a 220 Level 2 system for faster charging at home.

Have you seen that Aptera charge port on the website????🤔
Level 1 and 2 (120/240] is fine for overnight, but DC fast charge is a must for road trips, otherwise everyone is going to need the 60-100 kWh battery packs. They need CCS ports (Or partner with Tesla!).
They said 3 or 6kW. 3kW will add 30 miles per hour and 6kW double. It is different from any other car, efficiency is not comparable. Hope for 6, but even 3 is good enough if you plug overnight and get up to 300 miles!!!
Looks like there will be 3kW or 6kW level-2 charger, though listening to Steve, I think they are leaning towards 3kW. I sure hope its 6 not 3. My first gen leaf was 3.3kw and second gen 6.6kw. I was a huge relief to have 6.6. Bet then again Aptera is lot more efficient on the road than other EVs. Leaf for me was range anxiety nightmare.
Exactly
Thx for mentioning
Have you ever had to use an adapter on your J1772 for an other EV? if so how did that work out ?
I use my J1772 plug to charge my Leaf. The advantage I get is that it charges on the lower rates overnight. This seems to be a function of the car not the charger, so while I hope to charge via solar, I would still like to have the capability to charge via Level II overnight when needed. I hope that is built into the electronics. It has been awhile since I checked, but the cost difference was about a third of the daytime rate.
I too have a Level II charger with J1772plug 32amp and was too told it will work. Adapters will be provided. I know nothing more than that.
I hope to charge my Aptera via Never Charge and the std 110 charging “if needed” in my garage too. The Level II is just for a faster charge option.
Yes most likely. Anything is subject to change but they said in the past it will.
