The concept of a solar powered car is certainly not new.
But this will need to be differentiated from taking a charge from a solar paneled house. The former is completely free standing. As I had posted on another topic, wind should also be a viable way to charge the car when either the sun is not shining, or is clouded over. Many boats out here have both to provide a source of clean energy. I am hoping Aptera has a connector to add extraneous solar panels as well as a wind generator. (a small 400 watt unit will significantly add range if allowed to function all night long.) For those of you with questions about your solar Aptera, some of that is answered here, not in concept but real life.

Both the Bluetti and Jackery have pure sine-wave inverters for clean 120 volt charging. Your stream generator could furnish additional DC power into the solar generator since it has an MPPT controller. It would plug into the 12-24 volt DC input parallel with any solar panel you might attach as well. I am hoping the Aptera has a tap for the car's own solar panels to attach external green energy supplies. This way there would not be such an energy loss by going from DC to AC then back to DC. We will just have to wait and see. I dreaming some very efficient charging accessories for this car.
