Seats to try?

I hate to ask this, but are the seats comfortable? As much as I want to get one, I would really like to sit in it for my back's sake. I've had three electric bikes until I found one that slightly reclines to ride for long periods of time. Will there be a "demo" to sit in soon?

Everything else I love!

I have to say that the seats do not look like production intent seats yet. Especially the headrests do not look present, the seat looks to just be straight without any contour. I hope this will be changed.

It seems contouring is present. Maybe the more layback seating position accents the lack of a headrest closer to the back of the head.

@Matthijs There seem to be no standards or regulations for the placement of headrests. Personally, I find headrests that angle forward to be quite uncomfortable as they push my head forward and my chin into my chest. But, then, I do tend to have "military" posture so, maybe, it's just me...

Personally, I am willing and able to fly to the factory. I would do so now if they had an early version available for that purpose. For those who can make the pilgrimage 😊, I think it would be a great thing for Aptera to make one production representative prototype available for a brief test drive on a pre-qualified appointment basis.

@Scott I'd rather wait until they have a production-ready prototype, once they've worked out most of the kinks, as it were... There would be nothing worse for public relations than someone driving a rig that didn't represent the "finished product" and having an unpleasant experience as a result.

Completely agreed! I love Aptera and really want to purchase one. However, it seems a bit imprudent to buy a car sight unseen and without even ever test driving it. I was going to pre-order and then realized I will wait until I know my pre-order is solid and real (in other words, I have test driven it). If I can get a test drive, I am very very likely in. 😊

Reading the reservation agreement form: The purchaser is able to change the specs of the order up until delivery and then has 7 days or 1000 miles to return the vehicle for full refund after taking delivery. While I agree that a test drive would be ideal, not everyone will be able to visit the factory in California... Hopefully the 900 early adopters will be out and about - post-pandemic - allowing others to test-drive their Apteras!

@Kerbe Who is considered an Early Adopter? I just ordered today? The first 2 were sold out, not sure what I missed with that configuration, so set my own version up. Not sure what difference that makes. Does that make me an early adopter within the first 900?

@VegasTeslaRides I believe the plan was to build 600 Paradigm models first and then 300 Paradigm+ vehicles as the second run - plans may have changed since I learned about them. These were the "900 early adopters" to whom I referred. I was surprised to find a custom configurator on the website from the day of the launch - I hadn't expected Aptera to even consider taking pre-orders beyond the Paradigm models!
