ummm... I like the plug repair idea with a small electric pump. Which brings to mind one question. Does Aptera come equipped with a cigarette lighter type receptable? Or something similar to power a small electric pump.
I have 200 mile towing with AAA, that's the solution to a flat tire. Cars don't have spares anymore, they take up space and weight, two things that you don't want to do in an EV.
A plug kit and electric pump is perfectly satisfactory and far better than sealants which make a mess and may not work. I have done both motorcycle and automotive tire repair this way and the mushroom plugs work well.
In addition to the weight penalty, the ride is harsh because the sidewalls are designed to support the weight of the car with zero air pressure. In the early days of the new MINI Coopers (2002 and on), run-flats were the standard tire. The first thing that most of the buyers that I knew immediately switched to all-season performance tires or high performance summer tires. The difference in the ride and cornering performance was astounding. I used to autocross mine and I reduced my times by nearly 3 seconds in a sport that 1 second was considered a lifetime. ⚡️Shazam⚡️
My son's volt doesn't have a spare. As the Volt owners out there know it comes with a can of sealant, and an air compressor that you connect to the cigarette lighter. This of course to save the weight of a spare, jack, and lug wrench. At best does NOT work well. So...for him a AAA membership!

Run flats are too heavy. Get a plug it and air pump. They might even supply a kit with the vehicle.
Maybe asked already: Are there any sizes of the tires available, so I can check if those sizes are commonly used and available, when running flat ?

No, im the recent webinar they mentioned they are not considering run flat tires due to weight penalty. No spare either.

I would pay extra for a Space Saver Spare Tire and Jack option.
