I was hoping if I buy this vehicle that I could use it to drive for Uber Eats, GrubHub for some income and to show off the car. But, having only a 9" opening at the largest point, the middle of the frame I don't think is adequate. McDonald's includes the whole order including drinks in 1 large bag. The windows on my 1st generation Chevy Volt is smaller than the average car and is sort of the limit of comfortable exchange of food although I still need to tilt the bag considerably sometimes.
I understand the design is needed because of the slope of the door frame, I just wish it wasn't so.
Perhaps instead of any roll-down ability, have the whole window flip down on a hinge. Just have to be careful of having it slam down against the door and damage.
Even if the window opened wider, you may have another issue with drive-throughs: with the "outrigger" front wheels, you can't get as close to the drive-through window as on normal cars. Then again, maybe that means you should just open the door.
