One of the features I like in the Tesla is when you approach the car it recognizes your fob and it unlocks the doors and boots up the car and when you exit the car it shuts down and locks the doors. Another feature I liked in both the Tesla and the Nissan LEAF is I could leave the A/C on for my little dog while I shop etc.
Will the Aptera have one pedal driving and a strong regen? My Chevy Bolt has a paddle behind the steering wheel that increases the regen. Will the new Aptera have this feature?
I couldn’t achieve that range level without the regeneration provided by the single pedal driving. The regeneration available in Drive is much lower.
One Pedal Driving is useful in city driving, but regen level adjustment would be useful as well. But I think both are kind of mutually exclusive. OPD needs max regen to operate effectively, but on highway you do not want any regen, so OPD would not work. OPD is also has intrinsic issue when transitioning from brake pedal to accelerator while moving - the moment you remove foot from the break pedal the car starts to break even more aggressively until you get you foot on the accelerator pedal - very unnatural behavior. If I need to choose between the two, I would take regen level adjustment over OPD
