There have been a couple of instances where Chris mentioned that the back wheel would have downforce of about 25lbs at roughly freeway cruising speeds. Does this number seem very low to other people?
My concern is hitting an object lying on the road with that wheel and having it bounce up in the air and move around a bit erratically due to the small amount of force keeping it down.
That is just the aero downforce. There is still the regular 600-700 lbs of gravitational downforce on the rear wheel.
There was a oassing comment , by one if the Aptera team members, of making the Aptera a little but longer????
