more money means more to money to develop updated product via selling stuff and marketing stunts, so although you might cringe at this thread b/c gimmicks are still gimmicks, these maybe worthy 2nd priority options.
so keep all ur gimmicky maybe fun ideas in this thread i guess, we might have to have another thread for just aesthetics alone ha.
replacing paintjobs with e ink:
replace chemical paintjobs with e ink type thing, given it prolly would be valued especially by younger people as a gimmick where u can change the color of ur car anytime with phone etc, display static images, maybe small video graphics (small video to not be distracting on the road although e ink is not distracting like a normal screen is https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/5ff79bf582b26c001731915e ), plus it would replace much of the paintjob industry at some level, for ex. Rolls Royce uses layers of different inks that result in a mono appearance b/c light travels through the layers and bounces back as a singe unique color, e inks have recently gained color displayability and this may improve. same can be done in interior. when the display is off, it can look like a layer of see transparent glass crystal type thing, that'll be especially apparent under light its nontoxic unlike wraps, it can replace wraps and paintjobs...
it could also maybe be a way to change display images/colors with voice to text via phone, etc. (allow for toggability of displayed image only when the car is in crowded parking lot speed, dont want reports of drivers going into accidents more often b/c their playing with this while driving for ex. tesla accidents b/c people were messing with the screen to control everything and even play games while on autopilot like that apple employee). also lets not allow epilepsy triggering animation.
this may be a way for autonomous cars to communicate intentions with each other at some level before cars gain the hardware to connect via electronic radiation, not sure how much that may pay off.
at dark, a dim light can make car have soft dim glow maybe with a little with non distracting, slowly moving animation, to enhance appearance. users submit appearance designs onto a open source part of the aptera forum https://www.aptera.us/forum/aptera-design-discussion/small-business-and-hobbyist-open-source-program so aptera doesn't have to develop all that creative work.
some designs would be:
waves of light showing airflow through the car glowing in sea emerald blue/green color:

or the same aerodynamics mapping except with black/ dim white arrows and lines over dim white/black background kind of like on this mclaren speedtail:

or a shark type thing like painted on some A110 warthogs (a plane):

textures like wood inlays 'n shiet:
epoxy resin transparent material, or glass, or resin layerd with glass on top for glassy crystal texture, light reflects off of them not too bright to not be distracting, inside can be pieces of branches, flowers, insects like buttefiles or whatever the hell we come up with like sky view a sand and beach or a rainforest or wood or a global map with its layers of clouds and atmosphere or ocean water or a night sky stars blah blah blah. any layer can be textured to create a 3d texture appearance, or to feel textured at top layer that is touched.
rolls royce phantom generation VIII has a layer of empty shelf to fit art like paintings behind a transparent plane on the dashboard.

lexus LS metalwork and oragami with cloth with partial light projection:

bmw iX gear slector and infotainment dial etc:

glass 3d structure that lights up with lights:

light up 3d optical illusion on 2d plane

How about something simple: The name Aptera that lights up under the green Glogo? When I show people pictures of the car they all say, "What is it?" The Glogo doesn't convey this. Heck, I don't even know what the Glogo means other than Green. I still want my giant plastic cardboard cut out of the car so I can stand on the corners of shopping malls and advertise (and get referrals) and take orders or at least direct them to the site. Maybe even order forms for them to fill out that I can fax to the head office.
