more money means more to money to develop updated product via selling stuff and marketing stunts, so although you might cringe at this thread b/c gimmicks are still gimmicks, these maybe worthy 2nd priority options.
so keep all ur gimmicky maybe fun ideas in this thread i guess, we might have to have another thread for just aesthetics alone ha.
replacing paintjobs with e ink:
replace chemical paintjobs with e ink type thing, given it prolly would be valued especially by younger people as a gimmick where u can change the color of ur car anytime with phone etc, display static images, maybe small video graphics (small video to not be distracting on the road although e ink is not distracting like a normal screen is https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/5ff79bf582b26c001731915e ), plus it would replace much of the paintjob industry at some level, for ex. Rolls Royce uses layers of different inks that result in a mono appearance b/c light travels through the layers and bounces back as a singe unique color, e inks have recently gained color displayability and this may improve. same can be done in interior. when the display is off, it can look like a layer of see transparent glass crystal type thing, that'll be especially apparent under light its nontoxic unlike wraps, it can replace wraps and paintjobs...
it could also maybe be a way to change display images/colors with voice to text via phone, etc. (allow for toggability of displayed image only when the car is in crowded parking lot speed, dont want reports of drivers going into accidents more often b/c their playing with this while driving for ex. tesla accidents b/c people were messing with the screen to control everything and even play games while on autopilot like that apple employee). also lets not allow epilepsy triggering animation.
this may be a way for autonomous cars to communicate intentions with each other at some level before cars gain the hardware to connect via electronic radiation, not sure how much that may pay off.
at dark, a dim light can make car have soft dim glow maybe with a little with non distracting, slowly moving animation, to enhance appearance. users submit appearance designs onto a open source part of the aptera forum https://www.aptera.us/forum/aptera-design-discussion/small-business-and-hobbyist-open-source-program so aptera doesn't have to develop all that creative work.
some designs would be:
waves of light showing airflow through the car glowing in sea emerald blue/green color:

or the same aerodynamics mapping except with black/ dim white arrows and lines over dim white/black background kind of like on this mclaren speedtail:

or a shark type thing like painted on some A110 warthogs (a plane):

textures like wood inlays 'n shiet:
epoxy resin transparent material, or glass, or resin layerd with glass on top for glassy crystal texture, light reflects off of them not too bright to not be distracting, inside can be pieces of branches, flowers, insects like buttefiles or whatever the hell we come up with like sky view a sand and beach or a rainforest or wood or a global map with its layers of clouds and atmosphere or ocean water or a night sky stars blah blah blah. any layer can be textured to create a 3d texture appearance, or to feel textured at top layer that is touched.
rolls royce phantom generation VIII has a layer of empty shelf to fit art like paintings behind a transparent plane on the dashboard.

lexus LS metalwork and oragami with cloth with partial light projection:

bmw iX gear slector and infotainment dial etc:

glass 3d structure that lights up with lights:

light up 3d optical illusion on 2d plane

How about something simple: The name Aptera that lights up under the green Glogo? When I show people pictures of the car they all say, "What is it?" The Glogo doesn't convey this. Heck, I don't even know what the Glogo means other than Green. I still want my giant plastic cardboard cut out of the car so I can stand on the corners of shopping malls and advertise (and get referrals) and take orders or at least direct them to the site. Maybe even order forms for them to fill out that I can fax to the head office.
It's very instructive. much thanks for distributing this sort of astounding blog entry.

https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/60aa92c5d2b2620015aa6772 tint is a good standard thing to have as explained, this one gives silver/white color to windows which is unique.
the front and some of the sides of wheel hub can be transparent plastic, plastic b/c its cheap to replace and transparent so that lighting pieces for turn signals and reflective tape is protected under a aerodynamic cover, plus the plastic can be a aesthics thing, where the space between wheel threads is painted at a certain part so it is like a wheel RPM marker that can be seen from outside, everytime its seen a RPM passes (wheel cover can have same line). image teh red rectangle, where the part inside is painted, including tire:
. plastic cover whould be being tinted, so it can show the wheels and suspension linkages while also having some color so it reflects light giving apprent the shape of the body panel over it, so both the shape and the insides can be seen ex. in other cars, such could be applied to allow seeing the engine, suspension similar to ariel nomad/atom4s, etc. lighting and the electronic ink/paints can be mixed in to personalize things as optional cost.

this ones not really a gimmick, its a software thing that can be helpful for pets and kids plus is luxry feature https://www.aptera.us/forum/aptera-design-discussion/a-simple-thing-i-have-always-wanted
whole windshield window and rear cameras can show a simulated picture of a opaque racing car, so driver can race simulated race without nessasilry needs racing friends. such would combine the convenience of racing anytime one wants at various levels(different characters of racing ex. levels of difficulty to race against, start and finish line set by naviagtion app, etc), without losing any of the g force experince as some people do in those simulated racing videogames with replica steering wheel, clutch etc. its also a form of racing that makes use of whatever commute time that isnt just being stuck in traffic and it makes use of open enough roads when oppurtunity comes, vs spending a seperate time doing time limit racing or whatever.
the circles ones show areodyanamics in a gradient, red is most friction to dark blue being least friction. a plastic wrap can make this show in teh form of those colors or different colors ex. greyscale with 2 colors (rose gold and silver for ex.),
https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/606df60bc6b4850015110e42 aptera can apply some of these with 3rd party business as out the factory option (many wont know they'd buy such options which is why its best to offer from the factory, also helps with the brand name). https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/606e18d7ac384900159c2db9
https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/606a72fe8a8b0c001597cb78 be able to screw driver seat to the middle for middle driver sitting position like GMA t.50.
active aerodynamics. some such thinsg may even increase efficiency or allow carrying more speed around turns to avoid less efficient regenerative braking for braking at turns, and less battery use thus more battery lifetime. see "ACTIVE AERODRYNAMIC MANIPULATION" inhttps://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/602459dedb409900170b5f3b
its also a sports car thing, and something to play with ex. moving up/down like in the late mercedes GLS.
of course there are other aerodynamics stuff like active airleons moving via rope to steering wheel position or so, wings like in "time attack" cars etc
https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/6031daa3b24694001774f006
not a gimmick but that way of attaching accessories can be applies to other stuff like tieing a minimally existing 4th wheel or a mirror as needed for user according to their local law
mechanically adjustable suspension can be a feature to adjust stiffness and maybe even ride height, for sportier handling or softer NoiseVibrationHarshness or more ground clearance for at least light off roading...
fake but mechanical feeling manual gearbox, software linked to car computer to replicate other combustion cars or whatever behavior modification of drivetrain. b/c its software and electric drievtrain, response/delay timing of drivetrain and interface hardware itself can be modified as user wants via app and screwdriver for gear change pieces to have different amounts of travel from no movement to full press (ex. pedals, or travel of gear stick between shifts) as user desires.
exhaust sound from speaker with sound manipulating tunnel module on it to enhance sound (for ex. see lexus LFA soundbox and tunnel that sits over the v10 engine) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9z1R0G_RCFw at 32 minutes 41 sec.

Good and brilliant ideas but these can be applied by yourself or people with money to burn After. You can add your customisation and bling after you bought your Aptera. From the pictures I have seen the Aptera already look pleasing and beautiful and would fit in with most people's taste.
It wouldn't be too expensive to make an Aptera amphibious, just better door seals etc and a little pop out turbine or two... There is so much flooding now that a waterproof and amphibious vehicle would be a big plus. Flooding is only going to get worse and worse as it is too expensive for governments to update all the drainage infrastructure to cope. I'd even like a snorkel on my ML320 W163 as I nearly killed it going through flood water that came over the hood in 2019.
Keep it simple, affordable, use existing technology & SHIP ASAP! (No “pie in the sky” complicted forever in the future delaying bs technology or gimmicks!)
In regards to the e ink idea, I think the problem would be creating the electrode matrix that allows local addressability on a non-planar surface. I like the idea, but execution would be difficult.

You are a visionary and for Aptera and our time far ahead. All your ideas presented here and the previous ones would probably also ruin expensive vehicles or manufacturers financially.
I would be happy if Aptera had a modular kit concept to adapt the Aptera for several countries to realize a financially sustainable concept for themselves and the customers. No more and no less.
