Aptera width requires clearance lights?

A friend of mine mentioned that the new wide body pickups required the 3-5 high mounted clearance lights.

Since the Aptera is 88" wide it looks like it will require similar lights.

Here is an article about the 80+" requirements.

I dont know about motorcycles, but seems it can be Done on cars
