this may replace the friction brakes and possibly replace some battery and electric regenerative braking its far better than electric in every way except that it probably takes up more space than electric battery, something thats not so much a problem for potential smaller battery single motor model: brakes:https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/60739fab6ab6f90015d3d3f6

@my_discord_number_is_0328 i3 is RWD & rear-only regen works fine. Brand-new VW id4 is also RWD.

My own EV with 40% rear weight has plenty of rear-only braking traction for normal driving (tested with cable-activated handbrake).

Aptera's 30% rear weight could be increased by filling the rear parts of the battery compartment first. In other words, the 40-60 kWh packs fill the rear 40-60% of the space taken by the 100kWh pack. The latter would have a bit less % on the rear & if it's insufficient simply don't offer RWD-only with that pack.
