Not decided if you want to plunk down a C-note to reserve an Aptera? Would $70 make it more interesting to you? If so, just ask anyone who's already placed a reservation for their "referral code"!
(Notice that I said ANY reservation holder - not just me! I'm humble like that...😁)
It seems that the referral system works only when the code is sent to an email address, not when it is shared in the Forums as a link. It also works best if the person attempting to use the code has not yet created an Aptera account.
Click on the "Rewards" button on the bottom left of each screen here in the forum.
