@ralenz2009 on my current vehicle, an Outback, my mileage drops from an average 32mpg to 30 when pulling a load like in my picture. the same load on the roof is a way worse mileage hit. But the best thing about trailers is that one can unhitch them.
@ralenz2009 I am glad a person that pulls a trailer with an ICE answered!
Aptera had mention once ~ 1% range loss for evey 30# added, but we weren’t talking about a trailer then.. And there would be so many varibles, from aerodynamics, to number of wheels to weight already inside your Aptera, etc, to figure in. So.. TBD I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Every vehicle that I have ever had, the wife has wanted to be able to tow some thing behind. A motorcycle trailer hitch would likely make her a bit more amenable to the vehicle purchase whether we end up using it or not.
I’m counting on being able to use a 200-300 lb trailer. 25 cu ft of cargo doesn’t quite cut it for me for my needs. Will only need this capability a few times a year.

My Rack&Roll trailer is ready for our Aptera. Lightweight, simple, stays at home when not needed. It fits with the Aptera philosophy.
It really is going to be a versatile vehicle, for an autocycle/motorcycle !
I wouldn't have much use for a trailer, but having a 2" hitch receiver is a must for me. That's how I haul my eBikes with the i-MiEV and Bolt now.
You are perfect as an Aptera owner, with your energi to do your own thing, which they promote!
I'd buy an installed hitch in a minute...and a small trailer too!
I'm not sure that the Aptera could be my only vehicle, but if it had AWD and a trailer hitch there would be a lot better chance.

aftermarket "teardrop" trailers will be enough, so just a compatible trailer hitch would be nice. even some bikes can carry small storage trailers.
under "TRAILERS" talks about a system to make trailer driving easier for emergency braking and for people who dont know how to drive trailer

but it seems at least for small trailers, its not very different to drive with trailer https://www.aptera.us/forum/main/comment/60431b3ca472290015f276dc

No.
No.
It would not have to match. But...
Leaning to “No” at this point
Reasons:
🤔Don’t know the fully details on the Aptera hitch yet, just it will be on the rear wheel lift area
🤔It might depend on range hit.
We lived with a C230 MB for ten yesrs, which was a hatchback, which had plenty of room. (And we were younger/ more active back then)
🤔 They were taking about a limit of a 200# trailer with 200#...
If there is already an ~ 200# limit inside a the cargo area???
✅Stuff was secured inside and out of rain with a hatchback
✅Added a tarp like liner “ if needed “
🤔You got to store , register, tire(s), etc a trailer
🤔Many things are deliverable these days
Used Home Depot’s inexpensive truck for some bulky stuff I wanted to handle.
🤔Even if I get a overnight or two “camping”, I do not need much
I have thinned out in my old age and enjoyed giving my “Treasures“ to those that enjoy them more than me.
Buying Aptera for its 0.13 Cd, which is less than one side view mirror or windshield wiper set! Amazing
But each person has their own needs
Hopefully the hitch will be included, so “it is there”
I think a light utility trailer would be great.
