You may know that Alec Issigonis invented the mini car. What you probably don’t know is that there is a drawing of his on the wall of the British motor museum at Gaydon on the M40 in England. https://www.britishmotormuseum.co.uk/
It shows a sketch of a people’s car which is the same size as a Mini and has 4 wheels. The incredible thing is he has all 4 wheels with all of them being driven by an electric motor situated within the wheel itself
This was back in 1959, incredible
Hope this was of interest

Did some motoring in our Mini this afternoon. This is a pic from a couple of weeks ago. Issigonas was a sharp guy. His cars are still efficient and fun to drive by today’s standards.

What??? No stereo? Thanks, what a great mind. Reminds me of looking at a DaVinci concept: he was also ahead of his time.
Here's the sketch...
Thank you Alan for the interesting info. I looked on the site but could not find the sketch. Did you by chance take a photo of it? It looks like a truly magnificent museum. I see that it has a large Jaguar E-type display. It makes sense since it is to close to Coventry. One of my first cars was a 1962 3.8 Roadster, flat floor which I still have. I didn't know about this museum and would like to visit. I was in Northampton in the early 2000's for the International Rolls Royce Meet at the Towcester Race Course. It is on the Easton Heston estate which was put together by Lord Hesketh. It certainly is a beautiful part of the country with all the green rolling hills. It was on the same week as the Wimbledon tennis tournament, so I was able to kill two birds with one stone. Again, thanks for sharing.
@Alan Wetherall I'd heard about this - didn't he also design a car made almost entirely out of plastic?
