It is already been discussed that the Aptera in Europe likely would be a "L5E" vehicle due to European regulations. This not only brings a problem with the width and length of the vehicle (as discussed in other threads here in the forum), but specially in Germany there are no federal incentives for L5E vehicles. This means a huge disadvantage from a marketing perspective.
In Germany you get, for now 2020-2021, € 6,000,- federal incentives plus € 3,000 mandatory manufacturer incentives when you purchase a new PEV. This reduces the price of any new EV significantly. When the Aptera will be registered in Europe as L5E there won't be any federal incentives for the vehicle in Germany, so it will be hard compete price wise on that market. € 9,000,- difference is a lot of money ...
Perhaps this is something to consider, when Aptera is planning for the European market. Best approach is a registration as a M1 vehicle I think. But I'm not an expert on this. Any other suggestions are very welcome ...

Same issue in France and I suspect it will be the same in other european countries. I don't expect Aptera to be able to selle thé car un Europe anyway. They will have to make a smaller car in order to comply with the regulation. As for incentive, don't expect any change as german manufacturers won't allow an american manufacturer to compete their carss on their domestic market.
