@loswa lowering the floor of the cargo area actually makes for less space beneath it. I understand that the battery packs are to be stored under the seats and floor of the passenger compartment, not under the cargo area.
I look forward to transporting my whitewater kayak inside. It should fit. Whitewater (rodeo and playboat) kayaks are in the 6-7 foot range. My current boat is a Wavesport EZG 50 @ 6ft 7inch length. It fits in my 2007 Toyota Yaris hatchback fairly easy. Getting excited!
@mccallboater Heck yeah! That would be sweet to kayak that again. It's been years, but I thoroughly enjoyed running all the Jaws drops in a BigEZ while driving back to Colorado coming back from a Selway trip.
Aptera has said that there is 7' inside if you push the seat(s) forward and room enough for two people and a dog to sleep, so it's likely the back area would be able to fit even a regular sized bike with both wheels on, especially if you put the handlebars in first and tilt the passenger seat forward. A folding e-bike would certainly fit.
From the photo, it appears the solar cells are attached on top of the wrap. Or. are the solar cells attached to the body and the wrap cut around them?
@loswa The beta prototypes will have a slightly deeper cargo area than the one shown in this image of an alpha.
