@OceanDragon yes on the A/C. Probably peltier heated and cooled seats. Later models will have a reversing valve for heat, but the first ones probably only resistance heat.
@OceanDragon Have you, somehow, missed the FAQ? @n.bruce.nelson "reversing valve"? They've said that they hope to find a supplier who can make an appropriate heat pump for Aptera.
Personally, I'd prefer ventilated seats: Remember that while one side of a Peltier module cools, the opposing side heats - and vice versa. So cooling the seats will make the cabin warmer while heating them will cool the cabin...
@Kerbe #12705 I agree with you 100%. A Peltier thermocouple block will not only with produce internal cabin heat, but is pretty meager on cooling capabilities. Even if the Peltier was sectioned off to allow the heat to dissipate outside of the cabin, the differential is usually only 20 degrees F. max. I've had a number of 12 volt DC Peltier travel coolers which had a pretty good amperage draw. They are very inefficient. They were only good to maintain coolness to an already chilled can. I now have a 12 volt freon freezer which came optional in one of my cars. When I ask about air conditioning, I am interested in the btu range because as I can see, there is going to be a huge greenhouse effect inside the car. When I read the internal temperature inside one of my own EV's parked outside in 77 degree weather, it reads around 130 degrees. So besides venting the majority of that air by rolling down the windows, I want a very strong air conditioner to get the interior material mass down to at least 85 degrees. Ventilated and heated seats would be perfect.
@kebdvm To answer your question, I am just a volunteer in the Ambassador program and among other things, am the moderator of the Aptera Motors reddit group, which I started before I had any direct contact with Aptera.I can give you a better source. Both Chris and Steve will be available by zoom to answer questions directly Wednesday morning December 9th: https://old.reddit.com/r/ApteraMotors/comments/k8v05a/tech_qa_with_aptera_cofounders_on_wednesday/
@n.bruce.nelson Actually, the solar cells won't produce enough power to run the AC - but they will keep flow-through ventilation going to maintain the interior at the ambient outdoor temperature. You will be able, however, to remotely activate the AC system to precondition the cabin in hot weather - but it will draw power from the traction pack to do so. Same thing with heat in cold weather.
Yes. There is AC.

So, has it been confirmed that it will have Air Conditioning? How about heat and electric seats?
Yes. In hot climates it can stay on to keep the cabin and batteries cool while the car is parked, powered by the solar panels.
