I live outside of the US and want to invest but I don't have a tax ID. To my understanding, I need to acquire a Tax ID (ITIN maybe?) from IRS. I did this in the past, maybe 10 years ago (expired now), and it took several months to get a tax ID back.
Does this mean I will miss this opportunity and not be able to invest? Is there a "fast" way to get a tax ID for non-US citizens so that I can jump on this opportunity before it expires?
Look for a green circle with a contrasting white question mark [?] in it. If I recall correctly, it's in the lower right corner of the page. Don't worry about using it. You won't loose it. Don't ask me how I know .....
I agree with Len's advice to go ahead and try it.
