Okay, I know I’m not supposed to use the forum for tech support issues, but I’m getting very desperate here. Aptera has taken my investment money, locked out my account access and gone into total radio silence, and I’m getting a bit freaked out.
To explain, on 6/11 I tried to invest when the window opened and thought I’d succeeded. Then on 6/15 I received an email that there was a problem (AML Exception). Of course I immediately tried to open my account to see what was going on, only to find my password didn’t work (yes, tried retyping it!). Similarly the password reset function didn’t working (no reset message received and yes, I checked the spam filter!). Tried everything and got nothing. Then tried contacting Aptera for help (both invest@aptera and info@aptera). It took a week but I got a reply from Jacob on 6/22 directing me to use the Portal link to access my account. While I appreciated the reply, that advice was rather less than helpful. Follow-up email went unanswered. That was a week ago and I’ve heard nothing.
So folks, any thoughts? Suggestions? Anyone have Chris Anthony’s personal cell number so I can yell at him directly? (Okay, that would probably be a really bad idea, I admit.)
In the end it may turn out that I am the one who completely screwed up (shocking, I know), but until Aptera ACTUALLY RESPONDS, I’m out a big chunk of money and I ain’t happy! Any help is much appreciated.
Sorry for throwing a bomb like this on the discussion board but without any contact with Aptera I don't know what else to do.
UPDATE - I received another response from Jason and it looks like my account is unlocked. Then I had more forms to fill out and data to upload, which I THINK worked and that I have actually invested in Aptera. So it looks like patience paid off.... maybe. We'll see.
Bottom line is that I can happily report that Aptera does respond to their emails and genuinely works to resolve issues. Not as quickly as I would like, but all's well that ends well, right?
