Someone seriously monkeyed with the settings and I get to reset some things. If you still don't see it, let me know where you are and I'll add it. www.apteramap.info
I added you on the west side so we could see the two distinct icons. Feel free to move closer to your actual part of town if you would like. www.apteramap.info
I owned a Sinclair C5 in 1987 and 1988. I used it for a one mile commute to work. It had a small lead-acid battery and a solar cell. I could pedal it also.
PS: I was the environmental engineer for a Dutch company in the US. I thought that I had to set a good example. I'm retired now.
Looks like someone managed to wipe out the the Aptera icons. I put mine back with an upload and it repaired some. One of the hazards of a map editable to all is sometimes stuff gets lost. I occasionally make backup maps to preserve the data just in case. Here's the icon file, just in case.
I'm sorry people but I just can't get on that map. I'd sure appreciate a step by step guide like Kerbe #12705did for me on getting my referral number..
@caseymccarty Hey, buddy! Ok, go to www.apteramap.info and, if you're on a Windows PC or tablet, you'll see a map that contains this image. Enlarge the map until you see your location and then click on the pointer icon (in the red oval) and then click on your town. You can then select the icon you want to use and, if you right-click on the icon, you can add other information about the Aptera you've reserved!
I can't vouch for how this will be on Android or Apple, but it shouldn't be too different.
It would be great if the Social Media team at Aptera either mentioned this link, or stickied it to the top of the forum... that would hopefully improve response!
Ordering an Aptera for the 2nd time (# 14558). First time was about 10 years ago. Looking forward to the build and parking one in my garage along side my Arcimoto FUV. Newport Beach, CA
Nice! I used to live in the Lehigh Valley. Also, your reservation number is the highest I've seen (#14505). Should be fun to cruise the Jersey Shore in the Aptera!
Hey Peter. Also in canberra 👋 🦘 Which colour are you getting etc, I’ll order mine to be different so we don’t get confused haha. Also Karl thanks for setting up the domain and map.
@Kerbe #12705 Yes, there's a way to import from a spreadsheet, but since we're starting from scratch, everyone can enter their own info. Is there a spreadsheet import advantage that I'm not understanding?
@Karl Bloss I wrote that when people seemed confused by the process of putting themselves directly on the map - I thought they might be less confused by entering their location and name into a spreadsheet. And then you published a guide, so my post became moot. 🙂
Here are a few slides on how to create and edit the marker (Google Slides link). https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1LA0I_k8M927lpX5VLiuGhHkWtboSLdbH-6zfDBwsuAo/edit?usp=sharing
How do you drop a pin? Do you have to sign in? When I looked at that, it wanted me to use my email address. I don't like putting things like that out in public view.
If you select your marker, it should pop up a menu. One of the icon options I get at the bottom is "style" which looks like a tipping paint can. If you click on that, you should get a selection of icons. I created a custom one by uploading a screen shot clip of the Aptera icon.
Apparently, we've reached our limit on the free ZeeMaps features which is 100 views. The lowest-tier paid plan is $200 per year and I'm not going to swing that alone. Sorry for starting this without doing my homework first. I'm pretty sure Google Maps has a way of creating custom maps. I'll look into it to make sure we don't run into a similar issue. Other solutions are welcome.
It says the map is currently frozen (can only have 100 locations).
20614 added...
Just added my pin and already have a reservation but don't see me on the list??
First! In Sask, at least.
At least I'm not the only one in western Canada. :P
Just added my pin as I put forth some investment funds and a reservation request.
I added my pin to the Google map - Looks like I'll be the first kid in Vermont!
looks like I will be the second one in SA to have an Aptera

Please put me on map #14198 San Antonio Tx.

Finally a worthy replacement for my Honda Insight2005 last one sold new in America
Keller, TX
I can't find the map of orders now. Where is it?
OK Thanks.
Thank you for the notice. I'll keep checking it. Do I need to click something else?
Atlanta, GA
Include me. I'm in Charlotte NC.

First Canadian on the map 🍁

I'm frozen out?
Done and done! Woohoo, first one in Canada on the map 😎
Thanks @Karl Bloss for setting this up!
I reserved www.apteramap.info . Let me know if the redirect to the map works.

Just added mine here in NJ. Looks like I'm the furthest aast in the USA so far.
Canberra, Australia
@Karl Bloss Wasn't there an option to use a spreadsheet to populate a map? Could you, perhaps, create a Google Sheet that folks could fill?
Well thanks for the info, but I still couldn't find an add button.
I'm not sure how well that link worked, but here are the instructions in PDF.

Updated!
Hi from La Coruña Spain.
Thanks, Karl. I figured it out and edited my post while you were responding, but these instructions will help others, too. 😀
I forgot a step in between...paint can, then "More Icons" then you'll get a prompt to upload a file if you choose "Custom."
Not as intuitive, but I've added myself to the Google map.
Should we standardize the marker we use? I used the same one as Karl.

I gave it a whirl with Google Maps. The TinyURL link: https://tinyurl.com/y9da3ckl

Bruce seems closest. Have you driven by their facility yet? I don't know their address, so I haven't pinned them down yet.
Lewis Run Pennsylvania
I thought San Diego would have the most entries, but no! None, yet. I'm closest (so far) in Riverside County.
Memphis, TN Added!!
Added. Hoping to be the first owner in Pittsburgh!
Also, folks should note that your entire address is visible to the wide open internet if you enter it.
🤠
Mine is reserved San Antonio Texas
Thank you to Karl Bloss for giving us this idea and creating it for us to use it good for all the world locations
