I’ve noticed that if I am looking at the forum and decide to post something without logging in first, it will let me type up my comment and push the publish button before it asks me to sign in. Upon signing in, the website will double post the comment just written before signing in. I am using an I-pad and DuckDuckGo as my browser, if that matters.
Looks like a number of other folks are encountering the same issue. Realizing that that’s when the double posts appear, I’ve been looking for, and deleting the extra. Not too difficult.
My “auto-correct” seems to have an especially hard time here too.
Wasn’t there talk about a website upgrade a few weeks ago? I know; production first but...
https://www.aptera.us/forum/aptera-design-discussion/making-a-forum-more-productive would be nice if the new comments in a thread are marked so people can see new comments since last time thread was updated, rather than have to skim/read over things to figure out what they havnt read already
Since you've found one of the parameters, maybe you should always sign in first. It made me decide to sign in just now too.
@jesthorbjorn An interesting note is that, if you're receiving notifications, you receive two when double posts occur. Then, if one post is deleted, its notification link takes you to a dead page.
