I'm a huge fan of R&D, but ummm, what problem are they trying to solve that Aptera has not already solved?
I agree with your take. I was really disappointed with Obama with respect to the Bail out. Sure the companies paid back their low interest loans. But his administration did not prosecute the lenders for the bad loans that caused the whole mess. The Democrats are no saints either. Too many of them take $$ from big pharma and the healthcare industry which explains why we can't pass Medicare for All. It's a shame we are the only developed country without some form of Universal Health Care. Healthcare is a right and access should not be determined by how much money you have in your bank account. We're the only country where you can go bankrupt because of expensive medical bills.
I couldn't disagree with you more Don, Fascism is NOT a variation of socialism.
Fascism is defined as "an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization."
Socialism is "a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole."
The former sounds like the Republicans led by Trump... can you say "January 6th? The inserectionists didn't like the outcome of the election so instead of respecting the will of the people they were lied to and led by Trump (aka authoritarian) and invaded the Capitol to stop the orderly transfer of power.
Look, I don't believe the government should be making widgets or refrigerators but you and I enjoy the socialistic benefits of Police & Fire protection paid for by the community via taxes. We have other forms of socialism in the USA. What do you think social security is? Who maintains the roads? Who sponsors your local Parks and Recreation? The Government!!
Big wig money grubbers? Let's start with Trump supporters. Are you aware that 11 Trump associates have been indicted or jailed including Paul Manafort and Steve Bannon. Bannon you'll recall was convicted of stealing upwards of $25 million worth of donations from hundreds of thousands of donors (duped again). Instead of using the money to support Trump’s border wall dreams, prosecutors proved the men used the money on luxury cars, home renovations & cosmetic surgery. He was pardoned by Trump... 'nuff said.
One of the reasons I love Aptera is their business ethos ...which is socialistic NOT capitalistic. This ethos is unheard of by the legacy automakers whose priority is profit not community. Heck, it took the courage of Ralph Nader to take on the big automakers and force them to install seat belts. Something we take for granted today.
Not only are they creating the most efficient 2-person vehicle, they are creating a grand paradigm shift within the auto industry. As Sarah puts it we are part of a movement. A movement led by Aptera's community ethos to build a vehicle for the masses. A durable car you can pass on to your grandchildren, is inexpensive, low maintenance, easily repairable AND costs little or nothing to charge.
Just my 2 cents...
(answer to question) Trying to distinguish between big-wig money grubbers and the folks actually doing the work maybe?
