Just to dot the i's and cross the T's. Its best to have answers that supercede even stadard cars that end up in water. Its seems the doors of the Aptera may be harder to open if submerged quickly. I recommend the car comes with AutoXcape on the doors, just as a sobering reminder that Aptera cares when GM does not. This device will not only cut the seat belt strap, but break the remaining window for an escape once the water fills the cabin. How exciting, if your that unfortunately hit on a bridge or uncareful.

@steve Google says you can only break the glass BEFORE the cabin floods. They probably just mean "while you can still swing the hammer through air", because water would slow it down too much.
I wonder how skinny you'd have to be to fit below the mid-window frame? Maybe a rare issue since apparently Aptera will float at least long enough to open the door first, but it all depends on what kind of damage was done before you hit the water.
My 1972 Datsun had a "hidden" mechanical door release:
No one wants to be stuck OUTSIDE a car either, if the electrical system is disabled, such as a dead 12V battery. You're stranded unless you can get inside to access your jumpstarter & pop the hood to connect it.
Great idea. I’m sure Aptera is also looking at a manual handle if the doors have an electric latch. No one wants to be stuck in an electric car with the electrical system is disabled. Tesla does this with their vehicles.
Nathan Arnstrong said the foam filled composite would cause the vehicle to float
(But I always have a escape tool in my vehicles)
