Why not use hemp based body panels like Henry Ford did? They have to be much more environmentally friendly than whatever composite materials they're using now. https://youtu.be/MGZEMwMx2vk

At one point someone mentioned use of fast curing UV curable epoxies, like the ones dentists use in your mouth for fillings. Those are definitely of low toxicity, I trust. 😬
Aptera's CTO (Chief Technical Officer ?) Nathan Armstrong said the body was made of fiberglass. Yes, the FAQ says Carbon, kevlar, and hemp. This is a contradiction I have wondered about.
@pistonboy This is just clarified during today's tech webinar: The internal structure is fiberglass - the external body panels will use a woven hemp matrix. Both are saturated with UV-cured epoxy resins.

From the Aptera FAQ: What is Aptera made of?
Carbon, kevlar, and hemp. Sandwich cored composites for great strength. In our previous test we had the highest roof crush strength of ANY passenger car on the road. And our new version is even stronger.
Any update on using non-toxic resins? Nathan mentioned experiments with different types in one of his interviews.

So Aptera is already using hemp.
Nice idea. I'd imagine there'll be a few 'growers' in the U.S that would welcome a new business supplying the woody stuff.
