Whatever power you have in the battery will be useable day or night.
e.g. they say....if you plugged in and charged your 400 mile range battery and you left your Aptera in the sun all day ( solar zone eight region) you may get up to an additional ~40 mile range on the battery.
You can solar charge while driving, plugged in. a Level I or II but maybe not with a rapid DC charger
