It all depends upon what you mean by original Aptera. The original 2008 design was basically a beta model and never went into production. It had a centralized motor and didn't require torque vectoring. The original design had no roll down side windows or common safety features which didn't appear in cars until around 2015. Lane change warning, emergency braking, blind spot detection, radar cruise control, automatic high beams, cross traffic warning would not have appeared on the initial model. It also did not have DC fast charging. The dimensions have all been changed as Biff has pointed out.
Compared to Noir that came out in Dec, Sol is FWD and has different outside and inside color schemes. I presume they made a number of small fixes in Sol, but the real design improvements will be in the beta vehicles.
If I recall correctly, the Sol has no rear solar panels.
