I can't imagine a tiny company like aptera could cost-effectively develop an advanced proprietary driver-assistance system in-house. Is SafetyPilot to be bought from another company? What about comma.ai? It seems to be getting rave reviews.

They are not trying to develop it themselves. Comma.ai is one of the companies they are talking to. Tesla is another. There is at least one other company under consideration as a supplier. Because of Aptera's love of Right to Repair and open source, I would think that Comma.ai is a leading contender.
