Lane keep notifies the driver if he/she drifts over the lane line. It does not warn the driver of a car in their blind spot or the lane they want to move into.
Yes, they are 2 different features. The cameras help with lane keeping. The ultrasonic ones would detect something too close. Maybe the cameras help with that, too.
Quoting the description of Safety Pilot option: "... Level 2 autonomy capability, which includes facial tracking, lane keep, adaptive cruise, and emergency braking."
So your lane change warning is there as part of that optional package. And with all those sensors and cameras, I doubt we'll have any truly blind spots.
I think we will have more details about the Safety Pilot features when the final vendor is selected, but I think it likely.
