The contact point of where the tires meet the road provided the positive aspect of traction but a negative impact on rolling resistance for efficacy. For years i have wondered if a conical tire that would pivot from a wide contact patch to a narrow edge for cruising speed may be a good idea to explore, but with the advent of the tweel many years ago, perhaps there would be a better solution to achieve this. With all the impressive way your team has innovated in all aspects of car design, would you consider exploring this idea?

Since the rear tire of the Aptera does not track in the normal area of the road it is subject to more road debris. This tweel might offer a solution as it is an airless option.
