Saw zack and Jesse interview aptera CEOs and loved the built in solar panels. Since I live in flirida and the huge glass in rear hatch made me think of boiling in aquarium in all the heat inside I had an idea. Why not make a bunch of solar tiles that can be attached to inside of glass on rear hatch? if desire visibility while driving just dont attach and when parked and charging just attach to inside of window. Would add quite a but of tiles thereby increasing idle charging

Would be nice to have some rearward visibility without foregoing hatch solar panels altogether ... maybe spacing solar panels apart by an inch or so ...
While the name Aptera means "wingless flight", I think the Paradigm needs a future option for adding Solar Wings: flexible panels that stow on the underside of the rear glass for travel, but when parked they can be folded out from the opened hatch into ray catching adjustable wings (using articulated struts for best positioning). Something like this is really needed in the sun starved North (or even in mid- to Southern areas in the winter).
Of course all that would be required to leave as an option even forbtgird party manufacturers is some typebof wire like usb run to area of rear glass to connect to rest of solr arrays. Same could be done for front windows to allow a third party sunshade similar to ones sold in auto part stores also with solar tiles to be placed there when parked. If parked for 8-10 hours like most peopke do when at work it could add almost as much as exsisting tiles to battery.
I will be happy with first generation design. this is another idea that may be considered for a Gen II along with all of the other good ideas discussed on the forum. I am not sure this suggestion would have a broad market appeal, but it should be assessed my marketing along with all of the other proposed enhancements when the time comes.
Nothing at this point should detract from efforts to get to production with the current design.
Interesting idea. Another forum member earlier proposed adding a series of horizontal louvers with solar panels on them, attached either above or below the rear hatch glass. This would then have concurrent benefits of rear solar panels, direct rear visibility, and interior shading all at the same time.
