third party products that increase products value in the market should be advertised as options in the process of ordering the product as optional pieces to buy, advertising the third party can be profiting. to advertise aftermarket products that support the value of aptera and allow some co-development:
for people who want to make apps for software or make small gadgets that can be used in aptera, maybe give a level of software access for customers, and a specific place in the forum where software and ideas can b submitted, then such software can be modified for default installation in all cars through online software update or something, or the forum can be a source of features made by the community that future customers are directed to for optional apps in teh software, or for even hardware accessories like aesthetics stuff, remote garage opener type stuff, etc etc. just remember to have a no legal liability disclaimer for open source stuff so aptera doesn't get legally hit for somones open source feature. this also allows aptera to not spend to much on non essential features like ac/heater, drivetrain, etc. The advertising of small business gadgets in the buyers option list can also be a source of money, and the community itself would be a "grassroots movement" style marketing stunt.
this is especially practically given many are willing to work on thier own terms without getting payed simply b/c they are hobbyist, they like doing it for fun. this makes it easy to find potential employees wh are actually passionate about the product, a passionate employee is more productive than somone who just wants the pay check. also enthusiast and customers area source of ideas for product improvements and problems which can be useful , such talk comes also comes from passion not monetary incentive. indeed happiness is not always based on money.

one application of this is allowing user to make software for screen displays, somone who would do such thing would probably come up with some creative way to improve interface, and a condition to be allowed to do such thing is to let aptera have full access to whatever is uploaded to car computer, or it can be sent to aptera website and aptera can send back software ready for use in cars computer via a password like system, and the software features can become part of standard software which can be upgraded to via website, knowledge of a update will come to customer via website update blog and email notification.
the third party products should be advertised at the customer order configuration interface so they can consider features by 3rd party to complement their car that they would otherwise not realize ex. somone decides to buy another 2 seater instead b/c lumbar support is built into the other car, so aptera shows a 3rd party seat lumbar support device at amazon. only features that cant be provided by relatively cheap after market buys should be standard features in car, to keep nessesary price of car down via mass losses, development cost cuts, etc
might be able to ask for profit difference from third party for advertising their product
about allowing software changes to car computer for third party to make software to sell to aptera users, used at their own risk, but quality control can happen by testing from aptera. this is for market demands aptera cant do theirselves. same could happen to hardware
hardware accessories opportunity can be catered to with open plugs to the car computer, or a wireless solution for many different such accessories to become compatible with software without many plug in sockets built in standard. the plugins sockets will still be important for accessories that need communication with computer too quick for wireless or that cannot afford to suffer from environmental interference (like active sports suspension setup for dramatic driving, active aerodynamics like pagani ailerons etc).
