I've got a few questions and an investor and pre-holder just looking to get the latest
I'm very confidant of the top and frontal impact tests but worry a bit concerned about the side. Does anyone have any insight here?
Is there any progress on the regulatory issues such as rebate allowance, camera usage for rear view mirrors (latest webinar wasn't super clear), helmut regulations etc.
Has a seating vendor been selected and a seat design been chosen?
Since battery tech updates, ie solid state etc, may not be ready for 1st production I'm thinking about leasing. Has there been ant movement on the financing front?
Will Roush be looking at the rear swing arm? The front and rear suspension designs look very antiquated, ie rocker arms in the front are 1980's technology.
Any insight on these topics would be greatly appreciated.
In addition to the many good points made above:
1. Aptera's sides are an ARCH, which is structurally MUCH stronger than a typical car door. Plus composites are much stronger than steel.
4. Any battery tech improvement will matter about 60% less for Aptera, since it uses about 60% less energy per mile.
5. MacPherson struts are 1940s technology, yet most modern cars use it successfully.
