I see a convergance in the design of tadpole recumbent bicycles and the Aptera. Recumbent bicycles are going electric and there tires are getting larger. If you aplly the same desgin priciples of the Aptera to a one seater. You may have a nich market for one passenger highway traveling ultra light, ultra eficient and ultra safe. If that takes off some of the cost it may be the best entry level electric. A single in wheel tire motor in the back may cut costs with a weight reduction.
Recumbant bicycles have had serveral fatalities and your pasanger cell would be a great step forward in a one seater. You may even have a market with motor bike alternatives.
I have collected these youtube videos regarding this convergance.

My wife didn’t want me to buy a motorcycle and is OK with Aptera’s:
Two comfortable car seats
Enclosed with 25 cu ft cargo
Safer....airbags, stability controls, anti lock brakes. Accident avoidance (Safety Pilot) Safer in rain, Snow, loose gravel
(Sorry.. My friend lost his leg in motorcycle accident by a careless driver that on accidentky bumped into him😔)
Quiet
Allergy protection ( being enclosed)
Not helmet
No bugs on a face shield and my clothes
Climate control so no special clothing
Enjoy my Enhanced audio
We can take our (̂ ˃̥̥̥ ˑ̫ ˂̥̥̥ )̂ with us!
Much more environmental friendly So I said “OK 😁 No problem!
She said 👉I do not need 0-60mph in 3.5 sec😔 Oh well....
But I respect others needs
I like their future vision:
Heck even lots of motorcycles can carry two people.
There are allready solution to that made in Canada. I personally feel that strictly one person vehicle sets too much limitation to my daily life. I have children and I transport them to their hobbies, and I love too much the idea of beeing capable to take my wife with me to some country ride. Our shoppings tend to be also quite big, I doubt that even our shopping bags would fit in Solo vehicle. May be in the future, right now I see urgent need to get this vehicle to the road.
a one seater with roadster styling? make it even sportier? wind in ones hair type experience? sounds interesting.

If this guy removed the pedals he'd have something very interesting, Aptera should think about a one seater IMO
Yes, 90% or so of commuters drive single every day. This would be the largest impact on the planet.
Interesting... everyone’s “street corner” can be different.
All I have left is a wife and dog, so the present design “seems to fit my needs. The final details on a lower cost FWD and 60kWh or less model has not yet been defined, which may make the ultimate cost more affordable. It will be interesting to hear.
BTW
If you are expecting an answer from Aptera it may be best to write to info@aptera.us , as not many answers are found, direct from Aptera, in the forum. Alternatively the Ask A Question spot on the Wefunder site is great.
I don’t do Facebook but that may be a good place too..But excellent forum topic/read!
