as material science changes, its nice to keep creative stuff like this in some collection of visions in case the creative idea becomes realistic later. i dont know about that fabric, but from what it seems it would be useful for active areodynamics like shown at rear of car, similar to the ailerons on rear of mclaren speedtail. not sure if it would be much help aerodynamically to apply it on door similar to how its done on that Gina. teh fabric can be tightly held and not elastic at places where no flexing is desired to work against incoming wind at high speed, so it would be 2 different materials, 2 tone color if desired
I thought the way the fabric removed all the panel gaps was cool. Realistically though the fabric would probably resonate/deform at speed and increase drag. Aesthetically, aside from the sexy engine bay, I think it looks amazing. I love how the chairs emerge from the fabric.
BMW Gina 2001 was built only once for the IAA as a show car. The outer skin was only a flexible frame covering. Unsuitable for practical use. Wolfgang Reitzle, then the board member responsible for development, hired Cris Bangle and made him chief designer. This marked the beginning of the controversial Bangle era at BMW, which lasted until 2009. He invented the attached luggage compartment lid, which caused sales figures at BMW to fall through the floor.

Is it my imagination, or is this Germany's vision of a Pokemon?

???? What is the message here and how does it relate to Aptera Design?
