Kinda curious about the light bar (or whatever the lighted strip between the headlights is called). Wondering if it's decorative or functional, or more to the point is it complicated and expensive, given that it wraps around the nose and is likely to get crunched in even the most minor of fender-benders. Am thinking back to the mid-1980's Mercury Sable (yeah, I'm that old) with a similar glass front. Having a rather costly and fragile bit of kit right on the nose caused quite a few headaches for insurers (and thus the folks who paid the premiums!). Sure, it looks cool, but is it maybe just asking for trouble?

In my opinion, anything that makes the vehicle more visible in twilight & darkness is a good thing, and worth the expense.
I think that most state laws require “Autocycles” to have at least a center headlight like motorcycles. Additional lighting is ok too. The strip across the front satisfies that requirement.

Cybertruck has it too. I would like to keep an open mind about it. It’s new, so we don’t really know it’s advantages and disadvantages, but I (mostly) trust Tesla not to have extraneous features that don’t have a purpose. It could provide better visibility.
I'm probably not the only one who doesn't even think it looks cool at all & wishes it was optional.
Once I get my aptera I will look into adding more powerful lights for offroad use. And the rather useless nosecone light will be best place for it ..
