People steal motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles and the like buy hoisting them onto trucks. If I parked an ATV on the driveway or at a trailhead: it likely would become someone-else's ATV.
The Aptera is classified as a motorcycle making me wonder if I shouldn't lock it down with a chain.
I then started thinking about all of the times that I've been stuck in the mud or snow. In these cases, it would be nice to have something that I could tie a rope to and pull the Aptera out.
Does Aptera have an eye-bolt or something that we could use for locking or pulling the vehicle?
You could simply have an tow hook hidden behind a cover much like a fuel door on a regular car with inside release to open it. That way you keep the aerodynamics and keep the obvious out of sight.
I watch Matt's Offroad Recovery on Youtube channel. He recovers atvs, cars, trucks, RVs and often has to use a soft shackle because newer cars and ATVs have no recovery points.
With regards to the aptera the soft shackle would hook up to the front wheel suspension.
Yes there will be attachment points on the front suspension and a strong point for a trailer hitch at the back.
