Can across an interesting article by CNN that drew a line from the Buckminster Fuller 1933 Dymaxion car to the Aptera. Here is quote from article that caught my eye:
"Fuller's legacy is also clearly apparent in other, three-wheeled haute automobile projects, led by architects or product designers, like Zaha Hadid's hydrogen-powered Z-car, or the ill-fated Aptera electric vehicle."

Although not as roomy, and lacking a steerable third wheel, I suspect Fuller would approve of the aerodynamic priority. Amory Lovins should also approve, although he might prefer carbon fiber. From wikipedia: "In 1994, Amory Lovins developed the design concept of the Hypercar. This vehicle would have ultra-light construction with an aerodynamic body using advanced composite materials, low-drag design, and hybrid drive.[19] Designers of the Hypercar claim that it would achieve a three- to fivefold improvement in fuel economy, equal or better performance, safety, amenity, and affordability, compared with today's cars.[20]"
