I'm wondering if golf ball styled surface dimpling was was tried and tested by Aptera in the design phase? There was an episode of Mythbusters that seemed to show 11% increase in fuel efficiency on a dimpled car.

Without dimples, a golfball's Cd would be a whopping 0.50! With them it's still about double an Aptera, at 0.24 Huge difference for that golfball though!
Also, dimpling is only effective in a narrow range of Reynolds numbers. Golf balls and cars work in very different Reynolds number ranges.https://www.grc.nasa.gov/www/K-12/airplane/dragsphere.html
