In this interview with Munroe at 15:40 there is a shot of the 'iPad' with icons for heated/cooled seats. I realize that an icon on the screen is not the same a s actual hardware in the seats, but it suggests that creature comforts might not be excluded.
Agree, I think heating/cooling the seat is essential for comfort and mileage. Even when the A/C is on full blast, my back still feels hot since there's no air circulation. And when I get in the car from the cold, I like to heat up my seat to get warm asap. And it helps with the mileage too I tend to use my A/C a lot less.
